San Antonio continues its Jekyll and Hyde type season, staying perfect at the At&T Center on Wednesday with a 101-95 overtime victory over South Texas rival Houston. Conversely the Spurs are 0-4 on the road.

Tony Parker added a season-high 28 points, eight assists and five rebounds for San Antonio, which continues to play without star swingman Manu Ginobili (broken hand) and snapped a two-game skid.

Rookie Kawhi Leonard got his first start and scored 11 points with eight rebounds. Tim Duncan, meanwhile, donated 17 points, moving past Larry Bird for 27th place on the NBA's all-time scoring list. The big man also had 11 boards, five assists and three steals.

"I'm still a big part of this team and I want to be a leader of this team," Duncan said. "I want to be a leader on and off the floor. I want Pop [coach Gregg Popovich] and the rest of the guys to count on me to do that and I'm ready for that."

San Antonio will finish a three-game homestand against Phoenix on Sunday.

Jordan Farmar scored a season-high 26 points off the bench, and Anthony Morrow had 23 points for the Nets, who have lost three straight and fell to 2-9 on the season.

Deron Williams went for a double-double with 16 points and 13 assists and Kris Humphries donated 12 points and nine rebounds for New Jersey, which continues to play without star center Brook Lopez (stress fracture, right foot), the twin brother of Phoenix backup pivot Robin Lopez.

The Suns haven't been playing all that well either and dropped the opener of a brief two-game homestand to Cleveland on Thursday. Rookie star Kyrie Irving outdueled Steve Nash in that one, scoring a game-high 26 points.

Nash had 16 points and 15 assists while Marcin Gortat posted a double-double of 14 points and 10 boards for Phoenix, which dropped its second straight overall and saw its three-game home winning streak come to an end.

The Suns, who will hit the road for a five-game trip after tonight's game, have won four straight and nine of 10 overall vs. the Nets.

"No need to mention the defense," said Granger, proud of his team's effort, "because we think the defense against the third team in the East was very good."
